What’s the scoop on Walden Media?
I don’t know the story behind Walden Media but I like what they are doing with films. They are not only the production company behind Prince Caspian but also are behind Journey to the Center of the Earth that is to be released July 11th and will be in 3D. I haven’t seen all their films, but they all look like great stories, using quality actors, and are well made. I don’t know if there are Christians who lead this company, but they are living out a Christian world and life view when it comes to movies.

It looks that way. From Wikipedia, “The company is owned by conservative Christian entrepreneur Philip Anschutz, who has said his goal is for Walden’s productions “to be entertaining, but also to be life-affirming and to carry a moral message.” So it has that going for it. The movie you’re talking about is “City of Ember.”

Actually, City of Ember AND Journey to the Center of the Earth are Walden Productions. Journey comes out 7/11 whereas City of Ember comes out in the fall starring Bill Murray! I want to see Journey to the Center of the Earth as it will be in 3D. Check out the Waldon web site, it looks pretty cool.
